Ink on watercolor paper mounted on stainless steel plate
These were drawn with reference to festive flags, but instead of their original vibrant colors, they are depicted in different shades of gray. They are mounted on custom stainless steel plates and suspended by steel cables. The use of rigid edges instead of soft materials adds a paradoxical delight to the display occasion.
